Four Italian White Wines for Springtime

As much as I love wintertime, I always look forward to my annual spring wines post. It’s an exciting time: fresh flowers, longer days, and al fresco bottles of wine fill the air with possibility. As the world blooms and brightens, so should your wine!

In this year’s post I’m featuring four Italian white wines. Mediterranean white wines, like these from Italy, are a natural fit for a flourishing season of aromatics and new beginnings. Together these wines are crisp, complex, saline, and mineral. Whether you’re plotting your warm-weather plans or quenching your thirst after planting your vegetable garden, a glass of one of these wines will mentally transport you to Italy.

Leo Tolstoy once said, “Spring is the time of plans and projects.” But I think he meant, “…plans, projects, and a rewarding glass of wine after all of that work.” Take a sip of wine and imagine where this season of warmth will take you.
